Qualification and Experience

Dr. Rohit Kumar is a bariatric surgeon specializing in general weight loss and laparoscopic surgery with more than 13 years of experience. He completed his MD, MS, FACS, FMABS, FIASGO, FHBPS, FIAGES, and FMAS. He received his basic surgical training from the Army Hospital Research and Referral, Delhi, India. At the same time, he completed his fellowship in laparoscopy and bariatric surgery from Shri Ganga Ram Ram Hospital, Delhi. In order to shape up his skills, Dr. Rohit underwent training in advanced laparoscopy from the Athens Medical Centre, Greece. He also completed a fellowship in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery from Japan. Dr. Rohit attained another fellowship in endoscopic thyroid surgery from France and Thailand. At the same time, he also earned a fellowship from the American College of Surgeons.

Contribution to Medical Science

Dr. Rohit has a keen interest in complex colorectal, pancreatic, biliary, gastric sleeve surgery, endoscopic thyroidectomy and gastrointestinal onco-surgery. Along with his team till date he has successfully handled more than 6000 surgeries. Presently, Dr. Rohit is working with Medeor Hospital, Dubai as the Medical Director and the Head of Surgery Department. He has also framed many customized medical programs.
